Quinoa--do you like it? I have been super into it lately. Mostly because I made too much one night and we do not waste food in our household. My favorite quinoa concoction has been southwestern quinoa (corn + black beans + chili powder = southwestern right?). Yesterday I ventured even further south and made Mexican quinoa, which is what I call adding salsa and cheese to quinoa. I do not know why. Probably because my idea of Mexican rice is adding salsa and cheese?
We received a very wonderful package in the mail yesterday...it contained our VERY FAVORITE homemade jams! Loquat strawberry and loquat apricot. Do you know what a loquat is? It is a fruit that apparently grows very happily in southern Cal.
